The ancient Vedic text, the Upanishads says: “ You are what your deepest desire is. As is your desire, so is your intention. As is your intention, so is your will. As is your will, so is your deed. As is your deed, so is your destiny.”
I love this quote because it explains the natural organizing principle of how we realize our deepest desires and how those align with what we are really here to be, our destiny. At our Women in Bloom retreats our intention is to create an environment for women to come together in community and to provide support for each other. It is within this space that each individual woman can listen to her inner being to find what it is that she really wants and then to reveal what is holding her back from realizing that dream. On retreat, away from the normal distractions of her daily life, she is able to look deeper within and access parts of her that might be hidden or repressed. She will then find the courage to look at herself with clarity and embrace all parts of who she is allowing her to experience an unfolding of her power as a woman on this Earth.
Whether going through the fertility journey or menopause, divorce or the death of a loved one to name a few examples, a woman comes to a time in her life when it becomes essential for her to discover who she really is and what her heart truly desires.
