She is one of only two practitioners in Arizona to specialize in Oriental Reproductive Medicine. Dana collaborates with reproductive physicians and clinics in the Valley and is a sought after teacher and nationally renowned expert in her field. Dana is the founder and president of Ilumina Healing Sanitary, the realization of her dream to create a healing environment where women can feel heard and cared for in a deeper, more personal way.
Dana received her Bachelors degree from the University of Arizona before graduating as valedictorian with a four-year postgraduate Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in New Mexico. She made the commitment early on to specialize in women's health, specifically fertility enhancement and pregnancy-related disorders. Her clinical studies were completed with an internship in gynecology and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sichuan, China.
Dana currently serves as secretary of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine and was a member of the Arizona State Board of Acupuncture Examiners and the Arizona Society for Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. She has been a faculty member at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. As a leader and innovator in her field, Dana has been featured on Sonoran Living, Your Life A to AZ, local news stations, Conceive magazine, Natural Health magazine, Alternative Medicine magazine, the Arizona Republic and the Scottsdale Tribune. She continues to stay on the leading edge of knowledge in her specialty, studying in the U.S. and abroad, and has published and lectured on reproductive topics.
“My vision is to offer women a complete and life-changing array of complementary therapies in a setting where they feel heard and cared for in a deeper, more personal way. We understand that when a woman comes to us, especially for reproductive issues, she needs support on many levels.”
